20 in Their Twenties, featuring Davyeon Ross, CEO and President of AthletixNation Inc Ingram’s, Kansas City’s Business Magazine, Volume 34, No. 8, August 2008.

American business the past decade has been rich with twentysomethings who have hit it big early in their lives. It’s a relatively new phenomenon in our culture – young people turning an idea into a multi-billion-dollar business in just a few short years.

None of the 20 twentysomethings honored in Ingram’s inaugural "20 in Their Twenties" class can call themselves billionaires, nor can they call their ventures world-famous … yet.

But all of these enterprising visionaries are on this inaugural list because they have shown promise, vision and commitment to their entrepreneurial ideas. And more than a few of our young honorees can already claim some level of financial success.

Join us in saluting these young stars of today, men and women to watch closely in the years to come.

Davyeon Ross, AthletixNation Inc

"My vision is to be a successful serial entrepreneur who makes meaningful contributions to the industry and community," says Davyeon Ross, President and CEO of AthletixNation Inc.

At 29, he is on his way. His website, athletixnation.com, provides athletic connections, entertainment and education through a multi-media platform that includes social networking, media sharing and mobile technology.

As he looks forward, he acknowledges that this business venture has presented challenges and opportunities that have shaped his professional and personal perspective. With help from his mentors Chad Wolf, Phil Lopez, Ken Heubel, Ron LeMay and Lance LeMay, Ross has navigated “the emotional rollercoaster” of entrepreneurship. He is shopping the AthletixNation content platform to media and sports organizations.

"Entrepreneurialism is the never—ending journey of cultivating new concepts, ideas and processes in an effort to guide a business from inception through its life cycle," says Ross, who earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Benedictine College in Atchison and an M.B.A. from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe.
